Overview
The Property Management Company that required our assistance in making their properties safer, is a leading condominium management company in Ontario who manages over 200 residential and commercial condominiums.
Problem
One of the residential townhouse complexes managed by this company was experiencing difficulty with the entrance steps to the home owners units. The steps were made of concrete in a steel pan. These stairs are replaced every 2- 3 years as the concrete crumbled in chunks, creating both a safety and aesthetic issues for the condominium complex.
Solution
Fibergrate supplied and installed Covered Stair Treads over the existing steel frame with WLP hold down clips. The stairs were prepared and painted the steel frame and stringers with Carboline Carbothane 134 HG. Both the Property Management Company and the Home Owners love the new stair tread solution from Fibergrate. This is a long-term solution, as the stair treads are corrosion resistant, slip resistant and easy to maintain.
